Nigel Coates
Born in 1949 and graduated in architecture in London in 1974, where he taught until 1989, Nigel Coates stands out for his research aimed at emphasising the social and cultural components of architecture, as shown by his projects for restaurants in Tokyo and for retail in London.
He has recently focused on furniture and lighting design, collaborating with many Italian brands, including Alessi, Fratelli Boffi, Poltronova and Slamp.
