Edoardo Gherardi
Born in 1973, Edoardo Gherardi graduated in architecture from the IUAV University of Venice. In 2000, he founded the Gherardi Architetti studio, based in Treviso and Castelfranco Veneto. He works across a number of sectors, spanning from urban design to interior design, product design and naval design.
He curates the setting-up of important art exhibitions in Italy and is involved in several projects in different countries including Switzerland, Luxembourg and Qatar. In 2021, he was invited to take part in the 17th Venice Biennale of Architecture with the exhibition ‘Escapology’. Since 2021, he has been art director for Varaschin.
Edoardo Gherardi won the third Young & Design prize in 2006 and 2007, the Iconic Award in 2017 and the German Design Award in 2018 for the Regolo tap, the German Design Award in 2020 for the Santa Caterina Museum and the new Ascom headquarters, the Iconic Award in 2020 for Villa MB and Santa Caterina Museum, the 2020 In-Architettura Award (Veneto) and the 2021 A’ Design Award for the Santa Caterina Museum. He also won the City of Bassano Architecture Award in 2021 and the BIGSEE Wood Design Award in 2021 for Villa MB; he obtained the Iconic Award for Diemme Academy the same year. In 2018, he was selected for the Compasso d’Oro Award.
