The thousand facets of autumn.
The warm colours, the leaves falling from the trees and we feel their crackling under our feet walking through the meadows.
There is a sense of peace in this season, of quiet and intimacy: the days are getting shorter and weekends become moments in which to enjoy the company of loved ones in the warmth of homes.
The aromas become more intense and sweet: chestnuts cooking on the embers, glasses of red wine, the smell of smoke coming from the fireplaces and cinnamon, the perfect ally for the Sunday preparation of delicious biscuits.
In these autumn months it is right to indulge in cuddles in the tranquillity of our homes but, at the same time, we must pay attention to the gardens and, in particular, to the accessories that decorate them.
This is the right moment to store them for winter months.
Bad weather and humidity of this period could ruin them, damaging their integrity and beauty.
After a deep cleaning of the fabrics, with the right products and procedures, the best option would be to store them in a closed and dry place, even better if repaired by a cover.
Talking about cleaning and maintenance, today we’d like to give you useful tips so that you can handle them in the best possible way while waiting for the return of the summer.
To preserve the brilliance of the wood, for example, our advice is to wash it with warm water with the help of a soft cloth and finish everything with Hydro oil.
Particular attention then goes to our wonderful rope weaving made of polypropylene.
To clean the unmistakable weaving of the Emma collection, designed by architect Monica Armani, we do not recommend using solvents or alkaline detergents as they could damage the ropes.
Other products to avoid are chemical detergents, aggressive solvents, stiff brushes and high-pressure water: this is to avoid deteriorating the surface of the rope itself.
Once the cleaning process is over, the ideal would be for the accessories to be placed under covers: Varaschin offers polyester and polyurethane covering sheets, tailor-made to adapt perfectly to all the furnishing elements .
New this year, then, is the new colour with which they are made: a beautiful forest green.
