Philippe Bestenheider
Born in Sion (Switzerland) in 1971, Philippe Bestenheider graduated in architecture in 1998 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and worked with a number of studios in Switzerland and the USA. In 2000, he completed a specialisation course in industrial design at the Domus Academy in Milan, where he was subsequently invited as workshop leader.
From 2001 to 2006, he was senior designer at the Patricia Urquiola’s studio in Milan, working with companies such as Moroso, Molteni, Agape, Alessi, Axor, Pallucco, Fratelli Boffi, Frag and Nilufar Gallery. His style combines Italian creativity and Swiss rigour, resulting in unique designs.
In 2006, Philippe Bestenheider was invited to participate in the Promosedia exhibition. In 2007, he opened his own studio and currently works between Switzerland and Milan.
